Up Close

I recently hosted a nigh-club event at TH, Alingsås (Sweden) called "Up Close" where I also DJ:ed. We had a little open-mic session and I opened it all up with a live performance of a club track that I had put together the week before. The song is now available for free download here under "Media" to the right (Right click and save as). It has the standard simplistic club-track-feel to it, including the dirty-and-simple lyrics so critics, go easy on the rhymes and to the rest of yall, enjoy the track. And to everyone who attended "Up Close", thanks for making it a great night (Yeah, even the ones that kept throwing glasses all over!).

Did you notice the Hummin CD on the shelves at your local reseller or in the iTunes store recently? Me neither. That flood of motivation/inspiration I was looking for never came and is still not present. Any spare time I get, I spend trying to generate some green. And yeah, my backup HD died for real this time while I was reinstalling my computer so a shitload of beats went bye-bye, but that's really the standard excuse by now, ain't it? I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks to all of you who keep encouraging me.

Deadline

My self-set deadline is Christmas 2007. The album will contain about 15-17 tracks plus an intro and 1-2 skits. Produced mainly by me, Masse (Redline) and hopefully Yas, although Yas seems to have disappeared this last month. There will be some guest appearances; some swedes, some americans, and I'm working with two other producers as well, but won't announce any names just yet. I'll try to update you during the summer on the progress, and hopefully I have some promotional songs and/or snippets to share by then. Peace y'all!

I managed to save up for a new harddrive and with some miraculous software, I could rescue most of the data from the old one. Yay! So there's renewed hope that I might finish my first album this year still! Stay tuned, I'll keep you posted.

Harddrive crash

I haven't found the time to finish the new website, so I thought I'd just create a blog for now, to keep you updated. My harddrive crashed the other day, and unfortunately all my beats were on there, and I hadn't made backups in ages, so that means I'm pretty much fucked, unless I can recover the files somehow. I'll know in a couple of days. I've not given up just yet though. I know most of my lyrics by heart and some of the beats weren't produced by me, so those songs will probably see the light of day sometime this year.
